Life as the Horse Husband and Dad in the Lusitano World

When Ashley and I first met in late 2002, our first outing (date) was on a cold night and we met for dinner at a restaurant in north San Antonio. We spoke, of course, of horses and her life as a trainer. Before coming to San Antonio, she had trained horses at a facility near Killeen, not too far from my hometown of Waco, Texas.

This many years later I can tell you that having one horse person in the family and one on the sidelines works well with this crew. Actually, it's now two horse people in the family and two on the sidelines. The other part of the riding team is my daughter. My son and I help out, go to shows, and offer our support. I am the unofficial videographer. It's worked out pretty well, in fact, real well.
